2018/19 NETBALL FITNESS AND PRE SEASON TRAINING

Our Netball season has now come to an end with representative duties and grand finals completed. Cap Coast Netballers have now entered the OFF SEASON – the span of time outside of competitive play.

During the off-season, although athletes are not competing and training at high intensity, it’s in their best interests to be involved in a form of fitness/ strength training. This is a critical practice period that can return dividends for the athlete if done correctly.

Increasing potential performance in the off-season has many benefits and is the foundation of  junior athletic growth. It’s important to find an enjoyable way to train in the off-season so as to avoid becoming burnt-out or injured. All in all, off-season training is important regardless of the sport because it is a time to rest, develop, improve and focus on skills that directly and indirectly affect competitive performance.

Sessions are Monday – Thursday 6:30 – 7:30am and 4:15 – 5:30pm
